As an outdoor adventure enthusiast and photographer, I’m particularly drawn to capturing the people, places, and experiences that define adventure racing.

I’ve spent much of my life doing challenging activities outdoors, whether skiing, mountain biking, hiking, climbing, or riding motorcycles. Those experiences have given me an appreciation for the amazing public lands we have available to us and an understanding of the immense challenges these racers face as they’re finding their way to the finish line.

That perspective carries into my photography. I aim to create images that capture more than the action itself — the determination, and grit of the athletes as well as the priceless beauty of the planet we live on. Whether it’s an athlete pushing through a difficult section, a team working together, or the scale of the landscape surrounding an event, I look for images that convey what it actually feels like to be there.

For me, adventure race photography is an opportunity to combine many of the things I care about while getting to spend time outdoors with inspiring people, telling their stories through the images I capture.
